Neck aching on one side by afternoon? A missing motion is usually a big part of it. Sitting itself isn’t the villain, staying locked in one shape all day is. Your spine needs to curl and rotate daily, and the mid back is often the first place that stops moving freely. This is a seated cushion curl. Sit on a firm cushion, round down one bone at a time, let each one peel off in sequence, then let the neck join in, chin leading down and back up. Once that feels smooth, add slow rotation to each side. Two minutes, once through each direction, is the whole reset. Skip it and that same stiffness is waiting for you tomorrow. Not a replacement for cracking your back manually or chasing pull-ups, this restores the motion those never touch. If you’re dealing with scoliosis or a diagnosed spine issue, keep it slow and check with your physio first.
