Among the things she left behind was a handwritten letter to her mother, filled with love, apologies and a small smiley face beside the word “Mom.” Its childlike handwriting made it especially moving because it looked like the kind of note any parent might find waiting on a table. Her family remembered Liberty as hilarious, creative and deeply kind. She loved making masks, jewellery and costumes, decorated everything with glitter and googly eyes, and tried to cheer up anyone who was feeling low. She loved animals, especially frogs, and brought fun into the lives of her friends, cousins and family.
