It should have been a straightforward trip. Instead, they "borrowed" their roadie's van, stocked up, boarded the ferry, and found themselves surrounded by football fans, a casino, a nightclub... and absolute chaos. Fights broke out, Liam charged headfirst into the madness, casino tables were sent flying, police got involved, and several members of the band ended up arrested and deported from Holland before they'd even played the show. When Noel phoned Creation Records boss Alan McGee to tell him everyone had been nicked, McGee's legendary response was simply: "Brilliant." The tabloids loved the "bad boys of rock 'n' roll" image, but Noel was always clear. The music came first.
