After 7 babies, I’ve learned that newborns don’t need nearly as much as we’re often told. Instead of filling a registry with 50–100 items start with the basics and add things as you figure out what baby needs. For example, maybe your baby ends up needing a great nasal aspirator, has reflux, or loves a particular swaddle. You’ll figure those things out as you go. I also don’t think you need the most expensive version of everything! Don’t let baby trends sway you into thinking you need specific labels. If you’re building a baby registry, I’d use this as a starting point.
