Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin urged states to work with the Trump administration to root out noncitizen voters and fortify their voting machines against election meddling. Mullin held a news conference Friday morning to lay out the administration’s concerns over ineligible voters casting ballots and to make the case for states working with the administration to crack down on the alleged practice. The night before, Mullin’s boss, President Donald Trump, addressed the nation about election integrity and vulnerability concerns. Mullin said his department found more than 250,000 potential noncitizens illegally registered to vote in four states: California, New Jersey, Nevada and Pennsylvania.
