Sometimes the most holy thing you can do is just sit there.
We often feel the pressure to have the right words.
To fix the problem.
To offer a solution that takes the pain away.
But the ministry of presence isn't about fixing.
It’s about being.
When we bring our children along to sit with a grieving friend, or to deliver a meal in silence, we are teaching them a legacy of compassion.
We are showing them that the Family of God doesn't run from suffering.
We walk into it.
In the ordinary moments of life, presence is the greatest gift we can give.
It’s how we model the heart of Jesus to the next generation.
"Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." : Romans 12:15
Let’s teach our families that they don’t need to be experts to be a blessing.
They just need to be present.
How has someone’s simple presence helped you through a difficult season?
