As a person who plays tennis for almost 3 years and still learning there are some things I would do differently to be able to speed up learning process. ๐
1. Practice at least twice a week. There was some period of time when I was playing once a week but it felt more like supporting current level rather than skill development. ๐
2. Try to get the most from your coach. Whether you train individually or in a group, do not shy away of asking questions. Different coaches have different approaches in teaching. If itโs not your style, itโs best for you to keep looking. ๐โโ๏ธ
3. Do not stress too much about racquet and gear. Buy a lightweight racquet. It can be even a used one. Brand doesnโt really matter, but characteristics do. Buy new shoes. They donโt have to be expensive, just shoes for tennis and a surface you play the most. ๐
