Playing in a local tennis league means meeting a lot of new people with various levels and play styles. As a recreational tennis player of almost 3 years I have an urge to reach for winners too early which increases the amount of mistakes I make. For sure, sometimes those winners come through, but developing consistency will increase your accuracy in the long run. Control is everything when you learn how to play tennis and maybe it doesn’t look very fast and sexy but you will be able to achieve much successes. It really took me a while to actually adjust my pace and style to embrace patience, but I feel my level of game has been elevated.
