This summer, Avery Holman, C’2028, proudly represented Spelman College and the campus nonprofit fundraising organization, sisters.for.st.jude, at the St. Jude Next Gen Experience in Memphis, Tennessee. During the immersive leadership experience, Avery connected with fellow student leaders and St. Jude/ALSAC team members while participating in leadership seminars, Fundraising 101 workshops, and a tour of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital campus. The experience reinforced the importance of the organization’s mission: ensuring that families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food while their child receives life-saving care at St. Jude.
