🔥 The first-ever Cali Commander Tournament is officially in the books at Cash Cards Unlimited – Thousand Oaks, and the results were NOT what anyone expected. Everyone came in talking about the recently unbanned cards… but after a full day of competitive matches, they ended up being far less powerful and far less influential than most people predicted. Instead, the biggest winners were unconventional commanders—the kinds of decks that usually don’t dominate a traditional four-player Commander pod but really shined in this tournament environment. It was awesome to see players innovate, adapt, and prove that the meta is far from solved. This is exactly why we wanted to build Cali Commander: to create a competitive experience where smart deck building, great gameplay, and creative strategies matter more than simply playing the “best” deck.
