But really... why are we so much harder on ourselves?? Even after all these years, I still have moments where I catch myself questioning every decision, replaying IEP meetings over and over, wondering if I advocated hard enough, researched enough, shown up enough. But when it comes to my friends, I am the FIRST to tell them "You are doing an incredible job" or "This is genuinely hard and nobody could do it better for your child than you are right now" So here's a reminder to all of us today to give ourselves a little extra grace and extend the same kindness inward that we so freely give to everyone around us.
