- Having lost 40% or so of my physical strength because of a temporary paralysis after a serious horse riding accident in 2002, that left me unable to use my legs and affected my sense of balance, I have struggled to wear high heels due to having weak ankles. This morning I went into the local Shoezone shop in Witney town centre to have a browse, saw these gorgeous black Patent Court shoes with two inch heels, tried them on, walked around the shop, felt comfortable and brought them for £16.99 (US$22.09). I spent this afternoon walking around Witney in them and was impressed at how comfortable they are. With two inch heels they raise me from 5' 10" (70 inches/178cm) to a statuesque 6 feet (72 inches/183cm). Shoezone are a national British chain of budget shoes stores I have used for years.
