On the Waitrose reduced shelf at the same time as tin of reduced price caviar 🤣😅 was a packet of lentils reduced price lentils. Having just finished a 12 hour shift in my salaried job and wanting a meal that was quick and easy to cook I added a tin of Essential Waitrose mackarel fillets and a can of Essential Waitrose sweetcorn. Cost = £2.75 (US$3.58). Once home I threw it all into a wok, stirred in some soy sauce and chili sauce and had a tasty hot meal ready in ten minutes. If I ever make an app that contains recipes for food you can cook in a wok I shall call it "Woksapp" "Don't give up the day job Jocelyn" I hear you say..😥 High taste. Low cost.
