Although investors may share broad ambitions, such as advancing gender equality or narrowing the gender-wealth gap, their expectations for what they expect capital to achieve, over what time horizon, and through which markets, differ considerably.
So, gender-lens investing is best understood not as a label or product category, but as a set of investment choices that are made with the intention to empower women and close the gender gap in many different areas.
Investment “in,” “for,” and “by” women creates a flywheel of opportunity and advancements working toward closing the gender-wealth gap.
