Through authentic cultural immersion, SHP students and educators are building lasting global connections. This spring, more than 30 students traveled to Taiwan as part of SHP’s biennial Mandarin program trip, deepening their language skills while experiencing the culture firsthand. For advanced Mandarin student Emily Hallum (SHP ’26), the trip was an opportunity to help others feel connected and included by translating for classmates exploring the culture for the first time.
