🎬 Ava DuVernay is back on Netflix. And this time she is asking a question that hits even closer to home. Nearly a decade after "13th" changed the way the world talked about mass incarceration and the 13th Amendment, DuVernay is returning with "14th," a documentary exploring the constitutional amendment that established birthright citizenship and equal protection under the law. The one that is under direct attack right now. "If '13th' asked who gets caged, then '14th' asks who gets counted," DuVernay said. "The film asks what kind of country is being written beneath our feet now."
