In this video, you’ll see what I consider a perfect first cleanse. It may look simple, but every movement has a purpose.
Because the first cleanse is followed by lymphatic drainage, the touch must remain exceptionally light. The goal is to cleanse the skin while respecting the superficial lymphatic nodes and vessels and preparing the tissues for the treatment that follows.
The first cleanse is much more than removing makeup. It sets the tone for the entire facial. It is your first opportunity to connect with your client, introduce them to your touch, help them relax, and begin building trust.
Every movement should feel intentional, gentle, and reassuring.
