During peace time, the 38th Combat Aviation Brigade mobilizes, deploys and conducts full spectrum aviation operations in support of 38th Infantry Division to provide the forces, equipment and aviation capabilities necessary to respond to state emergencies and other directed missions throughout Indiana and other states. During wartime, the 38th CAB mobilizes, deploys and conducts full spectrum aviation operations to provide freedom of maneuver to U.S. and coalition forces in the deployed theater. It was only right that the 38th CAB poster would be blue and white. Not only does blue and white represent the colors we see in the sky, but the blue is also an homage to one of the main colors used in the Cyclone patch worn by the brigade's soldiers. The unit motto is strategically placed to emphasize the brigade’s motto, “Above the Best.”
