Does anyone else romanticize how an experience with their kids is going to go… only for reality to have other plans? 😅 She didn’t love Pilates, but she had committed to coming with me, so we stayed. She practised sitting through a little boredom, and I loved that she got to see a space full of people choosing to take care of their health. It wasn’t the sweet little mother-daughter Pilates afternoon I had pictured, but we made an adventure out of the walk back to the car, shared some good laughs, and the next morning she told me she enjoyed our time together.
