Travelers Rest leaders are considering asking voters to approve a 1% sales tax that would fund community projects while providing property tax relief for homeowners. City leaders are considering placing the referendum on the November ballot. If approved by voters, it would add 1% to qualifying purchases made in Travelers Rest. Greenville, Mauldin, and Simpsonville are also exploring the option.
