This week, Tempe’s Junior Lifeguard Rose met up with one of our lifeguards to talk about the next letter in our SPLASH water safety acronym! 👀 A – Arm’s Length When young children are in or around water, staying within an arm’s reach can make a lifesaving difference. At Tempe pools, children under the age of 7 must always be within arm’s length of an adult or guardian while at the pool. Active supervision means staying close and being ready to help at a moment’s notice. A few seconds can make all the difference when it comes to water safety.
