The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is honored to announce that two of our volunteers, Maria Jaffe, a relief worker, and Greg Carafello, a 9/11 survivor, have been recognized as #DailyPointofLight Award honorees. Presented by PointsofLight, the Daily Point of Light Award celebrates individuals whose extraordinary volunteer service makes a lasting impact. Through their firsthand experiences of 9/11, Jaffe and Carafello help ensure that the history, human stories, and enduring lessons of 9/11 are never forgotten. By sharing their perspectives with visitors from around the world, they foster remembrance, resilience, compassion, and a deeper understanding of the day that changed our nation.
