spent a few days at the Charleston Open, here’s what you need to know if you’re planning to go!
-The grounds are beautiful, there’s lots of fun activations and shopping areas to check out in between matches
-This is a wta 500 level tournament, so it’s smaller than other tournaments (only women’s tennis) while still bringing in top players, making it feel less crowded and easier logistically!
-Hotel COCO feels like a nice hidden retreat, and the food over here looks way better than what was in the stadium. The Kitchen also has elevated food & drink options
-What to wear: people tended to be a bit more dressed up in the evening but overall it’s pretty casual
-the signature cocktail is called the “the first serve”, it has butterfly pea flower lemonade, vodka & club soda. It’s pretty sweet but quite strong!
