The RUF CTR “Yellowbird” became a supercar icon in the late 1980s, redefining speed and engineering. Built on a lightweight Porsche 911 Carrera chassis delivered “body in white” from Porsche, it was rebuilt from the ground up with a bespoke 3.4-liter twin-turbo flat-six producing around 463 HP and 408 lb-ft of torque. Wrapped in lightweight aluminum panels and paired with a custom six-speed gearbox, the Yellowbird stormed to 213 mph in 1987, making it the world’s fastest production car.
