One thing I’ve learned in over 20 years of building relationships in Jacksonville—and really everywhere—is that most of us already have the connections to do right by our kids. The challenge isn’t always resources. Sometimes it’s simply connecting the right people.
People ask why I post our givebacks so much. It’s because I know who’s watching. Somebody following may have the time, the talent, or the treasure to make what we’re doing even bigger. This is a perfect example of talent—someone using their network and gifts to expand the impact.
Through the MFTK Foundation, these food packs can now support our backpack drives, youth camps, schools, and families throughout Jacksonville. Imagine every kid leaving summer workouts or OTA sessions with a quality snack instead of wondering where their next meal is coming from. That’s possible.
Georgia has shown what’s possible when communities rally around youth nutrition. Florida can do the same.
