Because of the formation of an El Nino event, NOAA is predicting a below-normal hurricane season (55% chance) in the Atlantic, but an above-normal hurricane season (70% likely) in the Pacific. But predictions don’t change the fact that just one storm could be detrimental. Coastal defenses matter every season, and each community needs to be prepared.
