D.C. police said two people, an adult and a teenager, were shot just before noon on Kansas Ave NW in the Petworth neighborhood. Both were taken to the hospital. Police said they’re now looking for two suspects and have not released any information about a possible motive. ⁠ ⁠ The shooting happened outside the E.L. Haynes K-12 Public Charter School campus. Several employees told News4 they went on lockdown inside the building.
