Have you ever had Portuguese food? Try Port of Peri Peri- it’s a chain restaurant with 3 locations in the Bay Area. Their San Jose location is across the street from valley fair- super convenient. I recommend their grilled chicken and if you can take heat order it hot! All their food is seasoned with the African pepper called “Peri Peri” hence the name.
