This week we were invited to deliver a Black Tennis Mentors activation at Surrey University as part of their Black Sports Collective launch event, a new initiative focused on improving the university experience for Black student-athletes across performance, wellbeing, opportunity, and representation.
Our role was to bring the tennis element to the space; a mini-tennis activation, a talk about pathways and access, and an honest conversation about what it really takes to create equity in sport.
Seeing the students engage, ask questions, and even jump on court was special!

It was a chance to:
1. Showcase the work we’re doing nationally
2. Connect with a new group of students hungry to make change
3. Highlight the importance of representation in tennis, and
4. Plant seeds for something bigger with the University of Surrey moving forward.
Huge thank you to Luke from Team Surrey for inviting us to such a great event. We are super exci...
