One day, I feel like a solid club level player. The next, I forget every thing and im reminded how much I don’t yet know. I’ve been way outplayed by players ten years younger than me, and incredibly humbled by players ten years older than me. The tennis court does not care about age…ego, excuses, or whether I won my last match. That’s what makes tennis so beautiful. It asks for … patience, discipline, resilience…. and still gives me no guarantees in return. I can win and leave frustrated. I can lose and leave proud. But every time I walk off the court, I leave knowing a little more about myself than when I stepped on. #tennis #reflections #selfgrowthjourney
