The name of our city has interesting history. It’s one of the few in the U.S. with an official “H” at the end of a “-burg” suffix. After the federal government dropped the H in 1891, Pittsburghers spent more than 20 years fighting to bring it back. They won in 1911, and the rest is history.
Happy “H” Day to the city that never gave up its letter. 💙💛
