Two employees of a Windsor Locks nursing home have been arrested after an investigation into the death of a 93-year-old resident. Authorities said Margaret Healey, who had dementia, walked out an unlocked door at the Bickford Health Care Center in February during freezing overnight temperatures and later died after being found in the snow.
The person shot by a Meriden police officer during an active domestic violence response on Sunday has died, according to police. Officers were called to a home on Sagamore Road around 10 a.m. after receiving reports of an active domestic violence situation involving some type of weapon. The investigation remains ongoing.
