The Eyebrow House, a modernized 1941 Cape Cod bungalow in Southeast Portland’s Mount Tabor neighborhood, first gained fame more than a decade ago with a star turn in two “Portlandia” episodes aired in 2012. At the time, the 2,431-square-foot dwelling at 6221 S.E. Ash St. had been recently restyled by artist-architect Edgar Papazian and his spouse Michelle Lenzi as their residence. Sweeping arched steel dormers added headroom to the second story, where half-circle windows in two bedrooms draw in natural light. The massive steel arches frame the house like an eyebrow, which is why neighbors call it “The Eyebrow House.” In July 2012, Papazian and Lenzi put their 0.13-acre property up for sale at $464,900, and it quickly sold for $15,000 over its asking price.
