Over the last few weeks, I’ve had a realization that’s been hard to put into words. For the first time in a very long time… I feel at peace. Finishing this album gave me something I wasn’t expecting. Closure. For years I thought what I wanted was a bigger audience. More listeners. More followers. More attention. But somewhere along the way, I realized that’s not what I’ve been searching for at all. The happiest I’ve been lately hasn’t had anything to do with numbers or social media. It’s been the quiet moments. Time with people I love. Road trips. Dressing up. My career. Building a life that actually feels like mine. Making this album reminded me of something else too. I still love creating. I just don’t love living my life in public. I don’t love feeling like I owe strangers constant access to me.
