If you see a girl with pink piggy ears attached to her cobalt-blue bike helmet on the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa this week, you should feel a sense of awe. That's 11-year-old Shirah Snodgrass. Since age 8, she's ridden three RAGBRAIs, each one with more mileage than the last, including the Karras Century Loop for a 100-mile day in 2025. This year, she has the ultimate goal: to take on the Thursday, July 23, America 250 double loop ― an add-on to the already 87.1-mile day that will bring the total to 160 miles, or about 250 kilometers.
