Boston drivers have held onto a title nobody wants.
According to Allstate’s 2026 America’s Best Drivers Report, Boston has been ranked the most collision-prone city in the U.S. for the 11th straight year.
The average Boston driver is involved in a collision every 3.76 years, making them 189% more likely to crash than the national average, according to the report.
The five most collision-prone cities:
1. Boston, MA
2. Washington, D.C.
3. Baltimore, MD
4. Worcester, MA
5. Springfield, MA
The five safest cities for drivers:
1. Brownsville, TX
2. Fort Collins, CO
3. Boise, ID
4. Laredo, TX
5. Cary, NC
