Last weekend I spoke at the Chicago Bears Alumni Wellness Weekend — players from every era in one room. Different decades, same jersey, one goal - win within. Over 50 former players participated in the Healthy Body & Mind screening powered by the NFL Player Care Foundation and heard from world class experts covering various aspects of player health and wellbeing. My talk centered on identity, transition, and community: the three things that determine how life goes after the last snap. All the sessions were great but it was the conversation between them that facilitate the connection — guys who gave everything to this game being honest about what came next.
