HUGE fan of these gentle giants. I love Berners for families who want a larger dog but need a lazier temperament or calm demeanor. They’ve still got funny little personalities and get excited when you walk through the door, but their arousal is short lived. Where it tends to go south is when you mix the breed with a poodle… You get the high stamina, high arousal and nix the calm temperament. Not my favorite mix.
