Putting together a jigsaw puzzle is usually a serene, relaxing hobby. However, for the six teams in the South Butler Community Library puzzle contest on Saturday, July 18, there was no time to relax. They instead raced to assemble a 1,000-piece puzzle as fast as they could.
Puzzle swaps became a quarterly occurrence after the pandemic. With the puzzle swap program’s success, Lesniak decided to add puzzle races three years ago.
“Most of the people know each other, just because of the number of times they have been here, and so they form a bond between different community members,” Michelle Lesniak, South Butler Community Library director, said.
