Closing Soon: ‘Isamu Noguchi: “I am not a designer”’ at the High Museum of Art, Atlanta⁠ ⁠ Taking its title from a statement made by the artist in 1949, the exhibition marks Isamu Noguchi’s first design retrospective in almost 25 years. Bringing together around 200 objects – many of which have rarely or never been exhibited – the presentation explores the artist’s engagement with design throughout his career.⁠ ⁠ The exhibition also coincides with the 50th anniversary of ‘Playscapes’, the only playground Noguchi realised in the US during his lifetime, commissioned for the city of Atlanta by the High and the City of Atlanta Parks Department.⁠ ⁠ 📍On view at the High Museum of Art, Atlanta until 2 August 2026.⁠ ⁠ 📅 The exhibition will travel to the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA (September 2026 – January 2027), before opening at the Memorial Art Gallery, University of Rochester, in Rochester, NY (February – June 2027).⁠ ⁠ 🔗 Click the link in our bio to learn more about the exhibition...
