CONGRATULATIONS! Eleven Belmont Bruins Softball players were named 2019 Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the organization this week. Half of the Bruin squad earned the academic honor last season, led by recent alum Hayley Baker (Rockwall, Texas), a two-time honoree. Joining Baker on the Scholar-Athlete list are Molly Porter (Lindenhurst, Ill.), Brittany Kennett (Melbourne, Australia), Audrey Lyle (Westlake, Ohio), Georgia McKee (Frisco, Texas), Jessica Parente (Verona, Wisc.), Bailey Sims (Flowery Branch, Ga.), Alicia Veltri (Clarksville, Tenn.) and recent alums Taylor Hargrove (Greenbrier, Tenn.), Cameryn Strother (Chesapeake, Va.), and Chelsea Thomas (Hot Springs, Ark.). #itsbruintimeintheclassroom
