A storm ripped through an Arizona wildlife park and shut it down.
Out of Africa sits on over a hundred acres in Camp Verde and houses rhinos, giraffes, zebras, lions and tigers.
Trees uprooted, mud over everything, brand new fencing torn out, and a walking path the water carried off completely. The park said it was beyond anything they had ever seen or had any ability to control.
Every animal made it. All accounted for, contained and unharmed. Staff are still walking the mud twice a day to feed them.
Cleanup is happening by hand. No excavators, because heavy equipment would put the animals through more than the flood already did.
The park stays closed until repairs are done and needs concrete, steel and fencing.
