Every animal at Out of Africa is accounted for, contained and unharmed. That’s the update everyone was waiting on. The Camp Verde wildlife park went from closed for a day to closed indefinitely in about 24 hours this week. Monday they posted they’d shut down briefly to repair roads. By Tuesday there was no reopening date and the park said the flooding was beyond anything they had ever seen or had the ability to control. Then came the damage report. Two flooding events in two days, thousands of dollars in destroyed fencing. A small team is out there right now hauling mud and debris by hand in conditions nobody would sign up for.
