A trip to the restroom turned into a very short-lived escape plan at a Phoenix hospital. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says Sabrina Dodson, who was in custody at Valleywise Health Medical Center near 24th Street and Roosevelt, asked to use the restroom on July 1, then climbed into the ceiling to try to get away. She didn’t get far. Deputies found her wedged between two interior walls, and firefighters had to open the wall to free her. She was checked by medical staff, and the Sheriff’s Office says its Jail Crimes detectives are investigating. Court records show Dodson had appeared before a judge just the day before on drug possession and prostitution charges, with bond set at $1,000.
