Imagine lifting your toilet lid and finding a snake staring back. A resident in the Catalina Foothills area of Tucson spotted a snake inside their toilet and called Rattlesnake Solutions for help. The company usually gets calls about snakes coiled under patio furniture, so plumbing was a new one. Getting it out wasn’t easy. A handler made multiple visits over two days before finally pulling out the culprit, a black and pink coachwhip that was very clearly not thrilled to be evicted from its porcelain hideout. Here’s the reassuring part. Coachwhips are non-venomous. They’re strong climbers and can get feisty when handled, but the company says a snake making it into a toilet is genuinely rare.
