A 3-year-old boy is in critical condition after being pulled from a backyard pool near 124th Street and Via Linda in Scottsdale Saturday afternoon. CPR had already begun when emergency crews arrived around 2:44 p.m. The child was then rushed to a hospital. Officials have not said how long he was in the water, and the incident remains under investigation. Scottsdale Fire is reminding families to closely supervise children around water, remove distractions and make sure pool barriers and self-latching gates are properly maintained.
