A funnel cloud dropped out of the storm clouds over Globe on Tuesday, and the photos are unreal. The National Weather Service confirmed the funnel cloud was spotted over Globe in Gila County on the afternoon of July 21, as monsoon storms rolled through eastern Arizona. A FOX 10 viewer, Brandon Komar, captured several shots of it hanging over the town. Quick clarification, since everyone asks: a funnel cloud only becomes a tornado if it reaches the ground or kicks up debris. This one stayed aloft, and no touchdown or damage was reported.
