Kids allowed to have privacy. That doesn't mean parents stop parenting. It doesn't mean we ignore warning signs. And it definitely doesn't mean we can't step in when we have a real reason to be concerned. But "the only privacy you get is in the bathroom or while you're changing" is a wild standard to normalize. A bedroom can be private without being secret. A journal can be private without being dangerous. A conversation can be private without being suspicious. Our job isn't to know every thought, read every message, and search every corner just because we're the parent. Our job is to build enough trust that when something IS wrong, our kids believe they can come to us. Connection over control. Every time. #respect #ParentingTips #privacy #BreakingGenerationalCycles
