July 25th is National Culinarians Day, a day to honor cooks or chefs who are experts in preparing, cooking, presenting, and serving food. For today, Channey letterpress printed a photo engraving of a turkey and that was likely used in a 1950s cookbook for a recipe for baking a turkey. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press. Old Sacramento is home to a variety of restaurants and eateries in the historic district.
