Green Beret Foundation’s “Jedburgh Media Channel” is airing “Unknown Heroes: Behind Enemy Lines At D-Day”. This documentary details the efforts of Operation Jedburgh, three-man teams deployed behind enemy lines in advance of D-Day, tasked with working with French partisans to sabotage and impede Nazi efforts to reenforce beach heads during the Allied Normandy landings. The Jedburghs would be the predecessors to modern special operations and the green berets themselves. This documentary is scheduled to broadcast on more than 200 stations, streaming platforms, and the Armed Forces Network. Many stations will air the program during the afternoon of June 8 and 9.
